In Patrick Fabian\u2019s first year as head coach of the Blue Waves, Riverhead made the playoffs<\/a> for the first time since 2019 and even won their first round playoff matchup against Commack, 48-47. With most of the squad returning, they’re looking to continue to improve during the summer and hit the ground running come winter time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, Riverhead went 0-10 in their summer league season<\/a> in the lead-up to the school year. It was the harsh beginning to creating a winning environment. After last year\u2019s run during the winter, there\u2019s just a different feel this summer. There’s a sneaky confidence among those returning. They defeated Bayport Blue Point, 55-53 to kick off the summer at Centereach High School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
